I recently took in a system running WinXP home that had been loaded with
viruses, adware, and spyware. After painstakingly removing all the bull____
the system runs well. Some of the original problems such as the missing
taskbar and the disappearing menus are still there. I have run SFC and don't
know where to go from here. Any ideas????

If it was in as bad of shape as you say, I would have
just blew it away with a fresh installation. No sense in
trying to fix it, as you do not know exactly what the
user did with the machine. Plus, you arent going to lose
any of YOUR information.

The system in question belongs to a customer, I am looking to correct the
situation, not blow away the system for a reload. Anyone have the solution?
