PM counters for RAID controller

Hi.

I am trying to collect performance information from W2K
Server counter with Performance Monitor, from a RAID built
on a RAID controller.

What I see from the O.S. (Disk Management) are two units,
let's say c: and d:, which correspond to RAID volumes set
up on the controller.

So, I set up P.M. to collect counters for the Physical
Disk object, for example: Disk Reads per seconds, Disk
Writes per seconds, and so on . . . I have the info.
collected for the 2 instances of Physical Disk I see from
the O.S.

How should I interpret the values for these counters ?

Are there any O.S. counters that I should see to find out
how the controller is working ?

Thanks in advance for any help.
