I have had problems to install the IIS on my XP Pro SP2.

I upgraded XP Home to XP Pro SP2 to install IIS web server. Windows
Components wizard showed I have IIS (13.5 MB) installed. However, I
could not see the IIS manager icon on my Administrative Tools of the
Control. Then, I found the iis.msc file and created
two shortcuts on the Desktop and Administrative Tools. Opening both
shortcuts showed a same error message:

Snap-in failed to initialize.
Name: <unknown>
CLSID:{A841B6C2-7577-11D0-BB1FÂ*-00A0C922E79C}

What does this error message mean? Any further instructions to open the IIS
Manager?

This morning, I tried to reinstall IIS from the XP Pro CD. The control
panel seemed to indicate the IIS has been installed, but still can not see
IIS manager iocn. Then I found there is a 'Please wait' pop-up message for
Windows XP Setup on the desktop for more than 2-3 hours. What does that mean?

TIA,
Jeffrey
