please help!

at first i thought it was the ATI card i installed before,
but now with an Nvidia card, i still can't right-click my
desktop without explorer closing and before i disabled
them in msconfig, two programs would stop at boot: igfx
and hpmkd (?). God help me i'm about to take a hammer to
this freaking thing, someone, please help save my computer!
