PivotChart resizing problem

I created a PivotChart that will be used for printing. Whenever I select a
different item in the Report Filter, the spreadsheet column holding the Row
Labels (in this case, rather lengthy questions) resizes itself, up to a
maximum of 255 characters. This also resizes my chart, causing it to
stretch well across several printed pages. The chart is positioned over the
rows holding the Row Labels and those rows are hidden in the worksheet.
After about an hour, I finally discovered I had to set all the cells holding
the underlying data to Text Wrap, then hide them. That then prevents the
columns from resizing.
Is this normal behavior or some quirk in Excel? I doubt a lot of people
will figure out the text wrapping trick on their own.

Format the chart area so that the chart moves but does not size with cells.
This is on the Properties tab of the Format Chart Area dialog in Excel 2003.
I forget where it is in 2007.

Thanks. My workaround was doing the job, but its good to know there is an
actual setting controlling that. I was getting frustrated watching my chart
suddenly shoot across to the right of the screen.
