HI

I have a table for keeping track of fuel expenses of each vehicle in
office.
the table hasthe following headders
A B C D E
F G H
Sl No: Car No Date Expense Credit Remaining Fuel Type Liters Odometer

I tried to create a Pivot table where the Car No and Date are in the
row area, fuel type in coloum area and Sum of liters and sum of expense
in Data area.

what I want to do is to add a coloum to the pivot table that will show
the kilometers/liter for each vehicle.

please help.

That is where I am already, what I need is one coloum where it shows
Kilometers/Liter

for this I need to find the diffrence between any given odometer
reading and the preveious odometer reading and divide the distance by
the sum of fuel in liters for that period.

unfortunately I am unable to find the diffrence between one Odometer
reading and preveious reading when I tried that in the pivot table >
pivottable field> Options> Show Data as > Diffrence From> Base field>
Odometer > base > Previous this results in N/A all over the place in
the piviot table.

Some people call me anal for doing this, but I have a personal spreadsheet
that appears to track what you want... I manage the calculation external to
the Pivot table but am still able to measure the variables... I'll forward
it to you for your review...
