Picture Screen Saver continuance problem

My Picture Screen Saver stops after displaying around 20 of my
images/pictures. It used to go on continuously; at times it would pause for a
couple of minutes then re-access my password-protected screen saver and START
the PICTURE SCREEN SAVER AGAIN. But it doesn't do that anymore. If it has
any bearing on it, I deleted the Original "My Pictures" Folder with held some
1,300 pictures/images and created another My Pictures folder and placed all
those pictures/images in it.
