when does it happen ? what are you doing when it happens

I'm out of bed and dressed, what more do you want?

I always take life with a grain of salt, ... a slice of lemon, ...and a shot of tequila

I used to have an open mind but my brains kept falling out

One more step to enlightenment ... but which way ?

Yep, test the RAM ... if you have 2 sticks, and you should have bought them in a pair, I would take one out and try again, repeat with the other stick.

MemTest will also help eliminate/diagnose any RAM problems.

Also ... check you have the curant and correct drivers and check your BIOS memory timings ... check the MB site for 'recomened' RAM, is yours listed?

I'm not grouchy by nature, it takes constant effort.

Hi

Are you using XP Pro 64?
It also could mean that you need to update your drivers you may have installed, boot up in safe mode (F8 at start up) and remove and see if you get the same BSOD.
Another is to gently rub a eraser (pencil rubber) over the gold contacts of the memory.
Good luck

Blue Screen Of Death
To Run 64 bit you could need updated drivers for your hardware, check out their web sites for 64 bit updates.
Here is the url for your graphics card which is 64 bit compliant.
