Hi,

I have just got a Windows XP Home computer.

XP Home does not seem to have the possibility to install an
IIS (Internet Information Services) on it.
I would like to see my webpages, that I make in Dreamweaver,
locally on this computer. (Before shipping them to the
actual website).

In win2000 it is possible..

Is this in any way possible (...some sort of Personal Web
Server?) with XP Home?

thanks,
LArry

Greetings Larry,

Both Windows XP Home Edition and Professional doesn't support or include any
version of Microsoft Personal Web Server. However, Windows XP Professional
does include Internet Information Services (IIS) version 5.1 which includes
Web and FTP server support, Frontpage transactions, active server pages and
database connections. In addition, if you upgrade from any version of
Windows that have PWS installed, the IIS is installed automatically as an
optional component.
