password FE and BE

I have an application which has BE and FE.
I plan to setup password to protect my data.

Should I have passoword for FE and BE?
If i have both password should I have connection string with passowrd or Jet
engine will take care of this?

Should user enter 2 passoword for FE and BE?

Your help is great appreciated,
