I am using Outlook 2003 and sometimes when I click the icon to open the
program it opens up, but then a second later closes down. Even the little
icon in the system tray disappears. It doesn't happen each time I open the
program but it is happening rather frequently. Does anyone know what's
happening here?

I had this same experience myself, but what fixed it was installing the latest service packs for MS Outlook (MS Office) up to the latest levels. Go to http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/of...e/default.aspx and click on the 'check for updates' link .

To my mind there are only some programs which might work out similar problems. I had got such trouble and as far as I remembered only one application effectively assisted me. It was observed a soft blog and after that I forgot about my troubles. The program has many good capabilities and might be wonderful decision for any email problem - cannot open outlook pst.
