Having recently moved to broadband and using Outlook Express to manage my
emails, I have encounter a problem with sending emails although I can receive
all emails. The following error message started about a month after I
upgraded and I cannot seem to get the problem resolved:
"The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'pop.orangehome.co.uk',
Server: 'smtp.orangehome.co.uk', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No,
Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E"
To my knowledge no changes have been made to the system or software, and I
can access my email sucessfully through the internet, but would prefer to use
Outlook for all my email stuff.
If anyone can help, I would be most grateful.

This newsgroup is for developing applications using Microsoft's .NET
development platform. It's not the place for questions about the Internet.

Your best bet is to go to your ISP's web site and look in the FAQ's as to
how to set up Outlook Express to access email.

I agree with Scott.
Your first source for help with your connection to your ISP's mail server
should be your ISP. If you have other questions about Outlook Express
itself, an good group to post in would be:

microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general

Thank you Scott M. I am also new to these groups and thought I had selected
the correct one, but obviously not. I will try the one recommended.
