I just reinstalled W'XP Home Ed. and now OE takes about 1
minute or more to open; my previous install of same OS
this did not do this.

Can someone PLEASE tell me what needs to be done to get
it open "normally". IF you know what to do please
clarify/simplify for this not so geeky user.

Open Outlook Express and from its Toolbar select:
Tools > Options. Under the "General tab", uncheck
"Automatically logon on to Windows Messenger",
then click on "Apply".
