I have upgraded to Vista and Office 2007.

The problem I have run into is I cannot get connected to Exchange. The error
I get is: " Outlook cannot logon...The connection to MS Exchange is
unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action."

Everything works fine on Outlook 2007 on my second system running XP. The
steps I have done to fix this are:

1. Wiped Vista and re-installed along with XP and Office 2007 again. I was
able to set up my profile there without a problem. Once this was successful,
I upgraded to Vista in hopes that Outlook would continue to work - it did not.
2. Made sure I could get to Exchange by pinging and nslookup queries. These
were successful.
3. Put in a static Default Gateway. (My Exchange server is on a different
subnet than our user subnet).
4. Put in a static route via Route /add.
5. Put an entry for the mail server in the hosts file.
6. Turned off the Vista firewall.

All this was to no avail!

Anybody run into the issue and able to find a solution?

I have a similar issue with Outlook 2007, XP SP2, and Exchange 2003:

The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be
online or connected to complete this action.

Seems to be a problem for a lot of folks, but no answers.
