Outlook 2k3 delivery locations

I have a questions about delivery "locations" in Outlook 2003...

I was hoping to create a single profile that contains services for my:
Exchange 2k3 server, Hotmail, and POP3 mailboxes..... But I'm confused on
the "Deliver new email to the following location" setting.... I want to
keep my Exchange email on the server, but selectively have the ability to
move some of it to personal folders... My POP3 mail, obviously, needs to
download to a personal folder... And my Hotmail stuff, can stay on the
server as well.

What's the recommended configuration?

Thanks,
Troy

hotmail gets it's own folder, you can't change it. Exchange and pop will use
the same folder (preferably the exchange mailbox, not a pst) and you'll need
to use rules to move mail out of it.

Diane,

I see the hotmail in "its own folder"... But I'm still a little confused on
the POP3 servers.. How exactly is that going to work when a new message
arrives in the POP account? What about when messages are SENT? Who appears
to be the sender?

Troy

when pop mail arrives, it goes into the default delivery folder - preferably
the exchange mailbox, not a pst. You can use rules to put all mail from the
account into a different folder, so it's not on the exchange server.

Replies in Outlook 2002 and 2003 will be from the account it arrived on,
regardless of where it's stored.

Sent messages use the default account - usually the exchange account - and
you need to choose a new account from the accounts button to send it using
another account.

Thanks for the claification Diane. That makes sense. I guess an even
easier way to do this would be to setup a new Profile for just the Exchange
account...

Thanks,
Troy
