Outgoing Messages

I can receive messages just fine. However, I cannot send them. The error
message is something about the server being wrong. I called my provider and
am almost certain I entered the server and host info they gave me. Help!!

Hello and thanks for responding. This is the error message:
The host 'smtt.att.yahoo.com' could not be found. Please verify that you
have entered the server name correctly.
Subject 'help', Account: 'pop.att.yahoo.com', Server: 'smtt.att.yahoo.com',

The server name is wrong. Try smtp.att.yahoo.com

Email scanning should be turned off in any anti-virus. Also exclude EML
files from the scan. It provides no
protection not provided by the regular resident protection.
Besides that, McAfee and Norton are not compatible with Windows Mail and
Outlook Express and should be uninstalled.

In addition to the server name typo already mentioned by Frank,
you should know that your ISP will soon discontinue supporting the
older port numbers (25 for outgoing and 110 for incoming).
All AT&T/SBC users are supposed to have migrated to the newer settings,
ports 465 and 995, with SSL, see:
