OT: Nero / unable to make bootable cd-r

XP Hom ed. SP3 etc.
....never had a prob. making one before now, ...I wonder what's changed ?
.... AVG 8.0 intenret security suite is in there now - this is recent...

Shoved in a cd-r, attempted to make bootable cd-r, (freshly made boot floopy
in floppy drive),
....and Nero bombs out with "cyclic redundancy check) etc.

"cyclic redundancy check" means the file cannot be read from the disk.

Have you checked the floppy for errors, and run chkdsk over your HDD.

IIRC Nero includes a generic boot img, can you use that.
