Agent and Free Agent are combined into a single 2MB download. To start
downloading, click the HTTP or FTP links.

Free Agent 1.93 A Lighter Version

In the early days of the Internet, software companies always provided
customers with free software. In return, customers and companies
worked together to improve the product. In keeping with this
collaborative effort, Forté proudly continues to offer Free Agent, a
scaled-down version of Agent.

It is my understanding that though the trial version becomes Free
after the thirty day trial expires, that there is no change, etc., if
you just download the free version. Is that your understanding? The
site states that it is licensed as "Trialware". TIA

Helen

Unfortunately though, it is a beta version which expires in March of
2004. Sounds like a developer using the freeware mode for beta
testing and then the thing switches to shareware. Hope not though,
because I like it.

From the Dialog Help file:

Please note that this version of the software will run until April 30,
2004. After this date I will re-evaluate my decision to make 40tude Dialog
donationware. Since the "timebomb" raised some questions I'd like to add
that:

· All beta versions will expire.

· There might be non-beta versions that will expire.

|| · There always will be a freeware version.

· Within the next 6 to 12 months or so (hopefully sooner) there will be a
non-beta, freeware version that will not expire, with the same
functionality as you saw it in this first public beta (apart from features
that might have been dropped for technical reason if things go very wrong).
