We are so insignificant the the whole scheme of things that the Earth will go
on regardless of us.

More people means more drilling for oil and gas. If I were Mother
and Earth, I certainly wouldn't want that nasty gooey stinky stuff
left inside of me. Mother Earth breathes a sigh of relief with the
drilling of every new oil well.

"Beam me up, Scotty. There's no intelligent life down here."

Sooner or later, growth will stop because of lack of resources (as quoted above). The bad part is, if we (as a race)
wait that long, what will life be like afterwards? I keep thinking of scenes from "Soylent Green" or "Terminator 3."

In reply to GMAN, China really doesn't have a bad idea; they just have a terrible way of going about it.

As far as the "vaccines" go, would reversible sterility until age 21 (or older) really be all that bad an idea? Doesn't
anyone besides me get tired of seeing 15 year old girls wheeling their 2 year olds through the store? Where are the
resources going to come from to support this uneducated horde (since most drop out of school after childbirth) that will
be the next two generations? You can't eat tax dollars, even if there will be a working force left to tax.

I better stop here. I'm sure I'll get enough flame out of this to heat my house this coming winter (unless the
"terrorists" decide to provide us all with a nuclear winter).

In other words... Your creed is "Greed is good, jobs Americans
won't do, I couldn't care less about anything except money". You
don't think twice about putting your fellow Americans out of work
when you go to the store, so you can save a few pennies.

Communism China sucks. Communist Chinese slave labor sucks. Stop
helping the ruling class destroy our democracy.

I think he was referring to the Chinese ideas on limiting population
growth. Where a family is limited as to how many children they can have.

That would be a good question for Bill Gates to dodge.

Should a poor woman be allowed to have as many children as she
can, with the government supporting her and every last one of her
children?

What if she doesn't want "reproductive health services"...

Women's "rights" advocates have no answer for that question.
Or maybe it's "Let's all be like Communist China."

My answer had nothing to do with their politics, greed, or money. The response was to GMAN's reply about birth control,
which is not a bad idea, but their way of going about it is not so good.

Earth will. The biosphere, though...

1) We could shoot it out. The result very well might do as much
damage as the KT impactor.

2) If global warming causes the methane hydrate layers to let go we
might do far worse than that. There's a point in the fossil record
that's almost blank due to heat, it could happen again.

I don't have a problem with people having as many kids as they want,
as long as it can be shown that they can fully pay for them at the
time. I do have a problem with the taxpayer paying for people having
kids, (except in the case of legitimate parents becoming
incapacitated, widowed or other things beyond their control)
especially when we are talking about bogans who make a career out of
breeding for welfare income and the taxpayer is forced to foot the
bill for the "child support"
