hello,

recently when i open multiple word documents they don't open on top of each
other, each one i open, is positioned maybe 2 inches to the right of the
previous one.
i don't recall changing any settings that would cause this to happen and i
can't figure out which option i need to change to have all of the documents
open on top of each other.
this doesn't happen in excel or any other file type that i open. any help
would be greatly appreciated.

thank you.

You have enabled the Cascade Windows feature. Right-click on the Taskbar and
chose Undo Cascade. Then the documents will open normally.

Post this to a Windows forum then as it isn't a Word problem.
