opening of projects done through MSMM-1

Project prepared through Movie Maker 1(1.6?)is not being
opened after installation of Movie Maker2.THe following
message is flashed : "Windows Movie Maker could not
convert one of the clips from the source file '.....'
because the time value are outside the duration of the
file". Pl.HELP!!!!
Can you import video from a CD/DAT file in Movie Maker-
2?? How?
