Anyone know when we are likely to see the mooted new BX (?) format for
cases, boards, whatever?

Most people I've talked about this with, don't see it coming into
force for at least another 12months or so.

If you need basic to med complexity webpages at affordable rates, email me
Standard HTML, SHTML, MySQL + PHP or ASP, Javascript.
If you really want, FrontPage & DreamWeaver too.
But keep in mind you pay extra bandwidth for their bloated code

A small vendor in my area says he has been promised BTX boards
and cases by his suppliers in time for Christmas. He sells
only Asus and Gigabyte motherboards, so that implies that at
least one of those manufacturers expects to be shipping
BTX boards by then.

That sounds just about right then, if they are only going to be
shipping in time for Christmas, I don't expect mass adoption to take
place for at least another 6 months after that. It took the ATX at
least a year to take over AT and more than that to kill off the AT
IIRC.
