Hi, I need to link a table from SQL Server 2k into Access 97, but, when I
have a datetime type field, I just can't update or delete the line, but I
can Insert.

Hi, first, this newsgroup is about ADP and SQL-Server and has nothing to do
with ODBC Linked Tables; so you should ask in a more appropriate newsgroup
if you want to increase your chances of getting a correct answer to your
problem.

As to your problem, there are many possibilities. First, did you receive
any error message?

Second, with which ODBC driver are you linking your tables? By using a more
recent ODBC driver, it's possible that you will solve your problem.

Third, adding a timestamp field to the SQL-Server table might also solve
your problem as you seem to have a problem of difference of precision.
(This one has a high probability of solving your problem.).

Fourth, did you took the precaution of relinking your table after making a
change to it?

Fifth, maybe that by using the SQL-Server Profiler, you'll get more info on
the source of your problem.

Finally, maybe it's time to upgrade Access 97.
