Not able to find specified COM port when creating Windows Modem

Hi All,

my program created a new COM port to connect to a modem in Windows XP, and I
can use the com to connect to modem and send AT commands successfully.
Somehow, the Windows could not recognize the port when I created a new modem
(the new created com port did not appear in the modem selection list) from
control panel.

Any expert know what's going wrong with my com port, need to change windows
register somewhere?

Thanks in advance.

Alex Du
