Outlook/Word 2003 with SP3

If I highlight a block of text in a forward or new mail message and select
"Delete", the question "Delete Block? No (Yes)" appears on the bottom border
of the message box and I need to type a "Y" to complete the delete.

Don't believe this was happening before a recent complete reload and suspect
it has something to do with Word 2003 being my mail editor but can't find a
way to turn it off in eitner Outlook or word.

Appreciate any help.
