The volume icon has been missing from my notification area. I attempted to
re-enable it by going to the taskbar properties, but the only option that
isn't greyed out is Clock. However, sound works just fine and I've been
having to go into control panel - sound to change the volume.

Why would Vista not allow the icons in the notification area...and
secondly...is there any way to get the mixer to load without the volume
icon?
