Please, how can i fix this:

I have WinXP Pro. I switched my PC on this evening, the CDROMs were not
shown.

I did a system restore - still no luck. I used the trouble shooter - no
luck. I disconnected both drives, then re-connected - still no luck.

I haven't installed/uninstalled anything i can remember. I get the following
message "Windows successfully loaded the device driver for this hardware but
cannot find the hardware device (code 41)".

Both CDROM drives don't work !

I tried another HD, and they are OK on that (so it isn't the CDROMs).

Please can anyone advise what i should do ??

Visit the Microsoft Knowledge Base and enter 314060 into the search bar.
This is an issue known to arise after the uninstall of recording software or
other software. The fix requires a Registry edit, so backup your Registry
first.
