No AntiVirusProduct instances

I'm writing a script to check whether our AV definition files (McAfee VSE 8)
are up to date on WinXP workstations (mainly SP2).
I figured I'd have to add a new class via SMS_DEF.MOF to pick up the info
from the registry,
but then noticed the AntiVirusProduct class in root\SecurityCenter (and
thought MS were making my life a bit easier!)

Trouble is: whenever I query this class (local or remote), I always get zero
instances (checking with wbemtest)

I've tried WMIDiag & everything is reported as OK.
Anyone know if this class should contain anything useful?
