Is it possible to have WinXP or IE start a new window unstead of using one
that is open/in us by another site when a shortcut to a website on the desk
top is selected? Thanks in advance.

Hold down the Shift key. Click on the link, and new IE browser will open.

Hi Cracker Jacks,

You should be able to get what you want by disabling the following setting:

In an IE window

Click Tools->Internet Options
Uncheck the "Reuse windows for launching shortcuts" checkbox.
Close all your IE windows and you should be good to go from then on.

Hope this helps,
