New webcam/mic - sound no video - please help

Hi,
My Mum has a new webcam and I can talk to her on the most recent Skype but I
cant see her - what can she do? Also, my sister has the opposite trouble - I
can see her but I can't hear her. This is all very frustrating - please help!
