Can somebody tell me what (except buying the cards) do I have to do to
make a wireless network with 2 computers, one PC with ADSL and a printer
to share and one laptop, so that I could share the printer and ADSL,
have it protected against hackers and anyone from the outside? I also
want to use the same acount on my desktop and my laptop (for example I
have a user account named xyz on both PCs and to use it as one, single
account, have the same documents and stuff).
I know I can iuse google for that, but there are only tutorials for
typical webs.
I have windows XP on both computers
Thanks in advance

Buy a home broadband WiFi router from Linksys or any of the usual
suspects. RTFM, plug your XP machines in and go. For your printer you
have two or three ways to go;

- Buy a router that has a printer interface (parallel or USB)
and plug the printer.

- Buy a print server for your printer. This will have a plug for your
printer and an ethernet jack. There is also a WiFi version that will
eliminate the need for a cable.

Don't blame me. I voted for Gore. Proudly then, even more so in hindsight.
