Network keeps dropping

I have a laptop running Windows 2000 Pro. It connects to a Novell network
and has been running fine for at least 8 months.

Last week the user suddenly discovered that he was no longer connected. It
now seams that the network connection keeps dropping after 10 - 15 minutes,
without any obvious reason. I have tried a different network card (one being
PCMCIA and the other USB) but it doesn't make any difference.

I then removed the novel client, but when on the internet the connection
still drops.

Can anybody suggest what to try next?
