network drive mappings lost over reboot

I have a Windows XP PC and map to drives on two Windows
NT 4 servers. All was OK, until I installed a new NIC in
my XP PC. Now I can browse the network, find the
servers, and map the drives OK... but, if I reboot, the
mappings are lost. In 'My Computer' I can see the mapped
drives with the correct drive letters, but there is an X
over them. If I double-click on each of these drive
letters, I then see the contents of the drive OK. The
mapping persists until I reboot the pc. Any ideas what
the cause might be ?
One thing... I dont have a password for my username on my
XP PC, nor on the server.

Thanks
Richard
