Network & Dial-Up Connection wizard

My Windows 2000 Network & Dial-Up Connection wizard hangs
up (Task Manager > Application Not Responding) when I
reach the Network Connection Type window, make my
selection, and hit "Next." Any suggestions on how to get
over this hurdle?
