When I install this it creates a new user on my welcome
screen. Instead of just re-starting my computer and
completely loading all my start up programs as before,
when the welcome screen appears I have to "click my
picture" as administrator to sign in. The other active
log-in is for the .Net framework as I have my guest
account turned off, something I have not found how to do
with the .Net sign-in. The computer will go no more
toward starting up until I sign-in. Is there a way for
the computer to start like before without having to sign-
in as the administrator? Thanks.

Interesting, I installed .Net Framework 1.1 July 5, 2003
along with many other Windows updates and from that time
on, my computer no longer opened to the desktop with its
icons but stopped at the Welcome Screen with the
Administrator to click on. I knew it was one of the
updates but had no idea until now of which update(s)
resetted some settings.

I got my answer on how to stop the Welcome screen
situatuon at this link from my computer manufacturer:

In the dialog box that appears, clear the Users must
enter a user name and password to use this computer check
box, and then click OK.
