I installed this SP & found that it replaced my NETCFv2.wm.armv4i.cab with
NETCFv1.WM.ARMV4I.CAB. This cab is only half the size of the v2 cab &
downgrades my pda's to .NETCF v1.0.

What happened?

Attaching a WM5 pda to my ActiveSync & running the msi does update the pda
to .NETCF v2.0.6129.0 but I can not use this cab to update any of my other
pda's.

Has the v2 SP1 CAB been moved? Then where?

I would guess you're looking in a wrong place; this file is from NETCF V1
MSI.

NETCF V2 MSI installs everything to the location of your choice, default is:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft.NET\SDK\CompactFramework\v2.0

VS 2005 uses the same MSI, but install it to VS default location:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio
8\SmartDevices\SDK\CompactFramework\2.0\v2.0

Sorry, but I checked the correct directories. The msi requires the uninstall
of the v2.0 CF. Did this. The v2.0 directroy is removed. I performed the
msi install & the v2.0 directory is still missing!

I'm afraid I have to insist - you're looking in a wrong place.

As I pointed out, default MSI install location is not the same as VS default
installation, so uninstall/install would move NETCF files to another folder.

Please do a system wide search for "NETCFv2.wm.ARMV4I.cab" and you'll find
correct location in no time.
