Hello, I want to incorporate an attendance calendar into my existing database
and I cant figure out how the calendar portion works so I can change it to
meet my needs. I downloaded this example database here: ATTENDANCE CALENDAR..

altered this database or who understands the VBA please explain what sections
I need to change to my database tables ect? any help would be greatly
appreciated. Thanks!!

I am going to try and say this without being a smart aleck. Please
don't take it this way.

We, the friendly people of the Access community, volunteer our time to
help one another with problems. We usually respond with great
enthusiasm to problems that we can solve. The ones that we can't
solve, usually get passed over in the hopes someone else can. If no
one responds, it gets pushed off the main page, and then likely
ignored.

Having said that, reading your post highlights the following:
1 "I cant figure out how the calendar portion works so I can change
it to meet my needs"
I don't know what your needs are, so I can't help you.
Probably, this would be at least a couple hours effort, well beyond
what I would do for free.

2 "explain what sections I need to change to my database tables
ect"
Not knowing anything about your database, I doubt ANYONE could
help. The requirements are too nebulous.


The best suggestion you are going to get is:
-> Get a good VBA book
-> Take a class
-> Trudge through and come back with a SPECIFIC question
-> Hire someone to help you out.


As far as which VBA book, it all depends on your level. Go to your
local bookstore, and peruse the Access books. Find one that is not
too complicated, but has information that you don't know. Get that
one, plus the Access Developer's Handbook (a little outdated, but
still indispensible).

I'm sure there are more than a few newsgroup readers who would provide
you their rates if you wanted to go that way. You might even find one
who would help for free for the experience, but you get what you pay
for.

Chris I figured that would be my answer from someone. My boss just wanted me
to do this and this is the only attendance mdb I could find. Unless you know
of a more simple example? I tried to anilize what was going on in the VBA
code but no luck. Any Ideas of a simpler approach? I have some access
knowledge just not enough VBA knowledge... Thanks!!
