Need to find SMS service providers

I need to send SMS messages from a web server to wireless devices, however,
we can not connect modems to the server. I'm having a difficult time
finding a service where we could send a text message via SMS or a web
service, then have this service send the message to the wireless device. I
don't know why this is so difficult to find. I can go to a Cingular or
sprint website, enter a persons phone number and a short message, and the
web page will take this data back to the web server where it will be routed
to the wireless device. I would think there would be a web service that
could perform the same function. When I call customer service at sprint,
at&t, Cingular, etc. they don't even know what a web service is and can't
understand what I'm trying to achieve.

Can someone help me on this?

Thanks.

I only have experience with netsize.com (if i remember well, they
offered services via custom API, e-mail, ...) and ringring.be (belgium only
provider uses a webservice...)

Hi,
take a look at http://www.2sms.com/ - we use it from ASP.Net as web service
and it works great
