Navigation buttons suitable for machine translation?

How can I create navigations buttons, or links, on a web page that can be
easily translated by machine translation programs. The goal is to have
labels on the navigation buttons that would be automatically translated into
the language that the whole web page is being translated by the machine
translation software.
