I installed NAV2004 (running W98SE) 2 weeks ago and everything seemed fine,
till the update of 13th June. Now, it seems to be hanging and is preventing
any program from using the cable modem (when I check what programs are
running CFGWIZ and SBSERV are both there).
I can only get online at all by totally disabling NAV.

Symantec Support Asst. says the registry keys are missing or damaged and
that I need to reinstall NAV. I don't see how this can have happened - Live
Update has been running daily with no problems, there have been no other
problems and I certainly have not been trying to edit the registry.

Don't want to have reinstall, except as a last resort - has this happened to
anyone else ? Or does anyone have any ideas.

TIA

Jude

What's so bad about reinstalling NAV? Seems like an easy
answer to me, esp if you need to fix reg entries.
