It keeps saying it has updates to install but never installs them, I have
gone to the site and downloaded them again and tried to install them but they
will not install they just fail. I have unistalled my symantec just in case
that was the problem but it still wont install the updates. Does anyone have
any help for me??

Here are near term and long term suggestions:

Did you do a complete uninstall of the Symantec stuff? If not, visit their
web site and download their uninstall tool for your version that will
*completely* uninstall the software.

programming issues. There is an excellent group for MU issues, where you'll
get more and better assistance. Here's how to find it.
