I am having problem in my network connection. I tried to
creat a new connection n configure my IP but I got an erro
message saying "The syste has generated an error log. The
program will be closed". Therefore I could not assign my
IP Address and Gateway.

What may be the problem? I tried it my upgreading the
Operating System but it also did not solved my problem.

Try to re-install TCP/IP and see if that makes a difference.

Does it happend when you try to access the properties of TCP/IP to set the
IP or just when you go in the properties of the Local Area Connection......?
