It's actually not mine I googled for the 101 error and
found a post stating that you need the "DCOM Server Process
Launcher" running for MS Anti-Spyware to run. I hope this
clears up some users problem with this program.
I would like to see that hook fixed as I dont like an
unneeded service running. All it does is fill up the event
viewer with error messages about DCOM. If I turn it off
(DCOM) MS Anti-Spyware quits working.

I'm a little confused.

Microsoft Antispyware requires the DCOM service to be running to work.

So you are wondering why you need to have the DCOM service running?

Yes I know DCOM needs to be running but I would rather not
have it start. MS Anti-Spyware is the ONLY program that
needs DCOM to run with my setup. As I posted before DCOM
fills up the event viewer with errors. I am the only user
and this is the only pc, no network. The least amount of
running processes the happier I am.
If you know of a way for Event Viewer to supress DCOM error
logging I would appreciate any info.

I don't know how to suppress the events, but they aren't seen on the average
install--want to post one of them? Maybe fixing whatever's generating the
large number of events would be a good thing to do. My track record with
this kind of thing isn't real great, but I do know the right places to start
looking.
