but most of them were MINE!!! Can I get them back, I've
tried the Tools>Mange Quarantine, etc. there is nothing
in the quarantine.

Please help!...

Hi

Restoring can take hours, other users have reported
5-6 hours.

Move your folders/files after restore to a new folder,
otherwise you can loose them again.

What MSAS version are you running ? Newer versions
dont remove Kazaa, newest version is 1.509 so download
and reinstall.

I also recommend DVD recorders for backups.....!

You are unlucky!
Go back to your last restore point, I guess....
Best to set a restore point after scanning and before you
allow anything to be quarantined or deleted..
Dont quar. or del. anything with Kazzaa mentioned or it
either wont run or wont connect !
I found that a restore only took a couple of minutes..
Good luck..

I have also seen this by just doing an uninstall of Kazaa. So I know it's
know entirely just MS AS Beta that may have caused this. I don't use Kazaa
and I would recommend not using it. But if you must use it, I would
definately recommend you keeping your files out of the Kazaa folders and any
folders that Kazaa monitors since I have seen several senarios where Kazaa
monitored/folder data is lost.

Which is why I don't use it and I recommend that others do not as well. But
if people must insist on using Kazaa and they worry about losing data, they
should move the downloads as soon as they can out of Kazaa monitored
folders.

Tell a teenager about this and they all laugh...............

My personal opinion is that p2p is totally out of control
and something must be done. To fill up every backbone
with p2p traffic must take and end.

I can download myself from time to time, just to test some
interesting software, but then I also buy it if I like it.
I think we canīt find anyone who havenīt used piracy
software or got it from a friend/neighbour.

Maybe we need complete new models for this business in
future.

If your comment was in reply to my comment. I did not say or suggest that
people use or not use P2P software. Only not to use Kazaa because it induces
spyware, not because it's a P2P program. Not all P2P programs induce spyware
and since this isn't a P2P newsgroup, I don't need to go listing all the
ones that don't induce spyware.

Curious, what did you mean by "Tell a teenager about this and they all
laugh............." ? Do you mean, if I was to tell a teenager to not use
Kazaa? Not my fault if most teenagers don't know what they are doing and
only know to use Kazaa because all their friends tell them to. If they were
smarter, they could just search the internet and find plenty of better and
spyware free P2P programs if they must use one. I am not preaching or
denying P2P applications. Just that Kazaa specifically is well known for
spyware and virus issues. I personally think it takes more skilled knowledge
to safely run Kazaa, than it is to just find another P2P application. Then
again, I also remember that only a few years ago I could go anywhere and not
have big spyware and virus problems. Heck, less than 10 years ago, I never
had any problems and didn't have realtime virus or spyware protection.
Occasionally did a scan and never found anything, and I used the net all the
time. So times have changed. And Kazaa is old and full of risks. I recommend
using a different P2P program for those that need one.

Iīm sorry about that.

As you see I answered Andre DA Costas writing, below

Im reading from up towards down and make my comments
_below_ as I always do with books and magazines.

I think that is better in NG but MS invented that we should read
and answer from down to up............

In private mail I am using MS invention and top post. But
if you are
a group with persons this is a real mess when a mail goes
around and evereyone toppost.

IMHO
