I have it connected to an antenna via a splitter between the living room TV,
and the back of the computer into the AIW 9800.

For some reason, I have the Simpson's on both TV's. I couldn't understand the
audio coming out of the AIW. I turned up the volume, and it's all in Spanish.
The TV is in English.

I suspect the card is dying as it's been doing other things like losing audio
on weak stations until a commercial comes on then it's back.

But this is ridiculous. The same signal to 2 different tuners one is in
Spanish, and the other in English ? What's that all about ?

On most TV's there is a setting which lets you listen to broadcasts in a
second language like Spanish. I forget what it's called. Sounds like it
has been set for that in the software of the TV player thingy for your AIW.
Look around for it and and turn it off and everything will be back to
normal. When there is no second language broadcast my bet is that it loses
audio as you have descibed because of the setting.

I suppose that's a possibility. I had it on less than perfect and the volume
disappeared. I right clicked to audio mode and set it to both. and had the
sound back.
And still I think something is destroying it. The channels are disappearing and
have to be reset often. I can only figure it needs a re-installation.
