Hello,

I want to chart two series of data on the same line chart. I have a field
entitled "term" for which I want a line for each term. I have a date field
entitled "x" and number field entitled "y". The only difficulty is I have
two separate sets of data with differing x (or date) axis.

How do I chart such data? Excel will only allow me to use on of the x axis
or the other.

I would like to chart the data below.

TermApp,x,y
061,01/05/2005,1
061,01/05/2005,2
061,01/12/2005,3

061,01/12/2005,5
061,01/12/2005,6
061,01/12/2005,7
061,01/12/2005,8
061,01/12/2005,9
061,01/12/2005,10
061,01/12/2005,11
061,01/12/2005,12
061,01/21/5200,13
061,01/26/2005,14
061,01/26/2005,15
061,01/26/2005,16
061,01/26/2005,17
061,01/26/2005,18
061,01/26/2005,19
061,01/26/2005,20
061,01/26/2005,21
061,01/26/2005,22
061,01/26/2005,23
061,01/26/2005,24
061,02/01/2005,25
061,02/02/2005,26
061,02/02/2005,27
061,02/02/2005,28
061,02/02/2005,29
061,02/02/2005,30
061,12/15/2005,31

TermApp,x,y
053,01/05/2005,1
053,01/12/2005,2
053,01/12/2005,3
053,01/19/2005,4

Thank you for your time and efforts.

Sincerely,

Christopher -

Plot the data as two separate XY Scatter chart series, not as Line
series, and they should appear just fine on the single X axis.

There's a likely typo in point 13 of the first set, I doubt you want
1/21/5200.
