Is there a vb or related scripting method of adding *both* profiles
*and* email accounts to multiple users logins from the administrator
account? I have a network which is a workgroup (NOT a domain), in which
there are about 15 users that are replicated on each of 5 machines. I'd
like to be able to add all 15 Mail Profiles, and all 15 email accounts
to each of the 15 logins on these 5 machines--obviously with as little
work as possible. The mail is all retrieved from the same Exchange
Server, but these machines *cannot* be added to a domain (don't ask!).
I'd hate to have to log into every user's account, on each machine, and
install every name and profile manually!

Any help is greatly appreciated!

You can create a prf-file for this with the Office Resource Kit.
Note that you can even give local users a roaming profile which you can
store on the server. You'll need to configure all the users on all the
machines then to use that profile but at least you can travel with your
settings then. If you open the user in the Management Console you can edit
the profile tab to specify the profile location.

Unfortunately, roaming profiles (like domains) aren't an option. Since
we're a workgroup with no pass-through authentication, until the user
logs into the machine, they can't login to the server (linux), so a
roaming profile couldn't be loaded until *after* they've logged in.

It seems like outlook would have some method of getting *all * it's info
(users, profiles & mail) from the exchange server. Isn't that the whole
point of exchange? (short of using a crappy browser interface)?

Yes, it gets the info from the Exchange server but first it must be told
where that server is. The best way to go is to create a prf-file for the
users and store that on their home-folder. When they doubleclick the file
Outlook is configured and ready to be used.
