I am easily able to connect to my home pc using the
external ip address to RDC, but if I accidentally leave
my second pc on, I cannot connect to either one. I
presume this is because it cannot resolve which pc to go
to since they both use the same external address on my
home network, which uses a linksys router.

Is there a way to identify the pc's so they can be
accessed individually?

Look at this page for help. Modify as needed for your particular Linksys router...
