Hi,

We have packaged a small software application using
WinInstall LTE and it works alright on Windows NT and
Windows 2000 but it shows a registry error when trying to
install on Windows XP, the strange thing is that it was
packaged on Windows XP but wont install correctly.

The error message is:

Could not write value Data to key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion
\Explorer\MousePoints2\CPC\Volume\{db9f02c9-aaad-11d8-adc6-
806d6172696f}.
Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or
contact your support personnel.

Administrator privelages have been applied.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Ray

Your MSI probably doesn't need to write to that key. I would recommend
removing it.
