For whoever is interested, there is a definite problem with the Microsoft .Net Managed Provider for Oracle in communicating with an Oracle database that uses codepage 850 accented characters (NLS_LANG of WE8PC850 on the Oracle side). Please do not reply to this thread as I will not be monitoring it here.
